After a trip to the United States in 2005, the Marseillais Michaël Azoulay created American Vintage, a brand of ready-to-wear fashion and accessories with a pared-down, vintage feel. In keeping with the name of the brand, items are classed by key theme with evocative names like the "Massachusetts" all-cotton range. In 2008, he launched the brand's menswear collection and expanded it internationally. Although the menswear collection was originally about reinterpreting the classic T-shirt, it wasn't long before it grew to include more fashionable pieces. American Vintage is an art of living.
