Designer Delphine Lopez's career kicked off in India where she trained in the art of block printing. In 2014, she launched her first collection of leather goods and fashion accessories made from a mix of textiles and leather. Her passion for traditional printing techniques and embroidery and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to forge herself a dense network of expert manufacturers. The brand's hats are made in Italy, the scarves and leather goods in India, and the baskets in Morocco. Care and attention are poured into every last detail and finish, patterns are optimized for zero offcuts, and the cotton used for the insets is organic. Maradji aims to "provide eco-friendly, sustainable artisanal products for customers with a conscience" through Projet M, an eco-responsible initiative that makes bags from recycled leather and dispatches them via a pre-ordering system.
